Hi I see another post relating to my issue but did not wish to hijack it.

I have setup my logon website and created mysql database all working fine. I have changed the password in the admin object, checked that the database settings are correct and uploaded to my hosting account.

I can add new accounts and login to the website but I cannot open the admin page with the password it just refreshes. I know that the password is correct. I have cleared my cache and history etc and nothing happens.

just to note this did work for me until very recently??

Ahh I had a thought,

I setup the signup page to register new members as "member" but the admin page is set to allow administrator so I think I need to change the user from member to administrator but I cant find a way to do that??

How do I change a member to administrator?

Usually when login does not work then there is an issue with PHP sessions on the server.
The solution is to reset/clear the sessions on the server.
